He's an angel, has wings - so I think it doesn't really matter if he seems to be floating above the steps really - it's a perfectly possible thing for him to do! Very nice picture 2 -Emma

The guy seems to be cut and pasted on the background. The
shadows don't work and the backgound is to different in tone than the rest of the painting.

His eyes do bore rith into you, though.

Is it just me or does he remind you of that Fabio guy from romance covers...?
Anywho, I love the atmosphere in this piece and one thing quite obvious is that he is not exactly one of those "innocent" angels. Nope, not at all. 12

ok this reminds me a lot of what beauty and the beast’s beast would look like after the curse was broken ... well kinda 12 i think it’s the staircase... and he definetly looks like fabio mixed with david copperfield ... hotness
