| 23 May 2004 | Traveller | Loading...I'll start off with saying that the picture is indeed great, both the colour and the "equine's" expression. But I would like to come back to the "argument" well what's wrong with it? Obviously the picture aroused some emotions in the viewers, even if they would rather talk on the correctness of the name. Saying that the creature doesn't exist is a completely pointless as well as ignorant comment. Even if it is it does not mean that it is worthless to talk about it give, it its proper name etc. | |
| 26 May 2004 | Xavier Sloane <xavier_sloane@yah...com> | Loading...Concerning the "correct" terminology; just because isn't necessarily "real" has no bearing whatsoever on whether or not proper terminology should be used. Language is not limited by what is tangible. If you're going to argue that it doesn't matter what something is called simply because it's imaginary, you could just as easily argue that it doesn't matter whether we call the big cats with manes "tigers" or the big cats with stripes, "lions". After all, words are nothing more than combinations of sound used to identify certain things; "things" including not only what we can touch, but ideas and concepts as well. Besides, "Golden Alicorn" works both ways, since, if you'll notice, the creature's horn has just as much a gold color as the rest of the animal. | |

I like the reflection on the alicorn's neck and chest, but it would definitely look better with more mane ^^ the horn is also quite small.
| 12 Apr 2005 | Carmandil | Loading...WOW! this one looks like it flew in right from a Greek myth. It is so noble-looking. | |

The winged unicorn looks so regal and powerfull you did an amazing job w/ it! oh yeah and as to all of you people above well forget you you stinkin critising nonbelivers no offense but proper termology ccan be highly important nomatter what you speak of.I realy like the reflectionary properties of this little critter!
| 15 Apr 2006 | Anonymous1 | Loading...Very nice and I think the mane looks fine. I like the golden color and the way how you use the shade. Beautiful.
One thing I agree is the horn seem kinda small. Anyway, overall looks great!
| 20 Jan 2007 | Dragongirl | Loading...Okay people I'm really getting SICK of this. I KNOW I shouldn't encourage this stupid argument but here is something that might interest you guys. THE NAME ALICORN WAS THE ALTERNATIVE NAME OF THE UNICORN IN EUROPE AGES AGO! Alacorn is a non-existing word! Chelsea and Loki <hall_robyn@hot...com maybe they don't exist but in the terms of mythology its a DEADLY mistake to say its a horn when its not!!! I think it makes more sense that an alicorn is a unicorn species than that horn rubbish. I really love this picture, well done!!!! | |
| 19 Sep 2007 | Holly | Loading...(i'm giving you a break from this stupid argument thing) i don't really care. I love this picture, it looks so noble, and the coloring is amazing. Keep up the good work! | |
